When and how did you become aware that you're an HSP? And how did you learn about our group?

Not long after I identified myself as an introvert, which was derived primarily through compiling all of what I've observed in my social interactions. I stumbled across this group while searching for groups on similar topics (introversion, shyness, etc).

Have you read any of Elaine Aron's books about the HSP trait? Which ones?

Nope, but it sounds like it should be on the top of my to-read list.

How have you experienced being an HSP? Please share a couple of examples of how being Highly Sensitive affects your life.

In social situations, any remotely negative idea can trigger me to spiral down into a bad mood, which is why is it difficult for me to find long continuous social interactions rewarding. Oh yeah, I also overthink and overanalyze everything.

What sort of activities do you enjoy? Besides just "meeting to talk," what sort of activities (if any) would you enjoy, as part of an HSP meetup group?

Movies, coffee, hiking.

What do you hope to get from your membership in our HSP meetup? (i.e. friendship, activity partners, support, networking, etc)

All of the above.

Introduction

I've always noticed myself as being different than most -- more affected by whatever was unfolding in my life, whether it be positive or negative. Hope to meet others who are in the same boat.
