San Juan Islands
Lake Washington and Lake Union under the blackberries in season.
good; probably intermediate kayaker, with lots of time at sea for work and other water activities (ocean mapping/navigation, sailing, scuba, kitesurfing).
Mostly ocean from Maine to Alaska. I was introduced to kayaking by Ken Fink in Maine and paddled the Maine coast often while in grad. school. Since then, I have paddle the Chesapeake Bay, many places in Alaska and around the US, and now the Seattle/Puget Sound area.
I have a Chesapeake Light Craft 17ft kayak that I built and paddled on the coast of Maine. I am a marine geologist and I have been fortunate to paddle in many places on the US coast as I travel for work.
