San Juan islands, especially launching from Washington Park to avoid taking ferries.
I consider myself 'intermediate', though I have done surf classes, advanced paddle strokes classes, tidal rapids training and other classes with Bob Burnett and George Gronseth. I've also done several multi-day trips.
The Cornish coast was my first trip. I've also been to the Sea of Cortez, the Big island of Hawaii on a multi-sport trip, the San Juan islands, the Gulf Islands and Sitka Sound, Alaska.
I've been with this group for several years and picked up a lot of experience along the way. Have a couple of week long expeditions under my belt and a lot of safety training. Own two kayaks, one a Pygmy Osprey which I put together myself.
The group has a variety of organizers who plan trips for new paddlers as well as experienced paddlers who are up for a challenge. Saul has extra boats and equipment so that newcomers can join us on some of the beginner level paddles. For all these trips I recommend people take classes, learn safety skills, acquire the necessary equipment and bring a kayak that they are used to paddling - I think Saul has sent multiple messages stressing the safety skills requirement.
