Abstract:
The mobile ecosystem is rapidly evolving. Publishers, Advertisers, and networks are growing along with the application ecosystem at unprecedented rates, and mobile marketers are struggling to keep up with this constant turbulence. With the growth of Tune, we’ve recognized the limitations presented by our data infrastructure including data size, storage, computation, and accessibility; furthermore, the flux of disparate new features in the mobile ecosystem coupled with the difficulties in balancing innovation with technical debt creates a multi-faceted big-data challenge. Tune uses Spark to increase efficiency while untying the direct relationship between the scale of our data and our development velocity.
