the talk last night further refined my thinking on how to bring across a message: looking for data viz examples with powerful messages going beyond data reporting.

I had a last minute conflict and, sadly, had to miss this last night. Does anyone know if a deck will be shared? Thanks!

Fantastic presentation and in particular how he weaves in various disciplines (journalism, science, philosophy and art for example). For those that haven't read his book, highly recommend it. Thanks for organizing the gathering - and for the pizza!

This was my first time attending this meetup and listening to Alberto Cairo, and I'm hooked. The slides were entertaining, insightful and well designed. The content reinforced my thoughts around visualizing data and has given more confidence to my design choices. Looking forward to reading Alberto's book and meeting other like-minded individuals.

My first meetup, a definite hard act to top. AO has much to say, passion for saving it and the knack of letting the connections emerge naturally through choosing the right dots

Very good presentation. Interesting look into the strengths and weaknesses of visualizations and the importance of balancing graphics with story to convey the conclusions.
