Developing Apps with PhoneGap
In this presentation Ryan Stewart, web developer evangelist from Adobe will cover some of the basics of creating and deploying PhoneGap applications. The meeting will take a look at a number of different JavaScript frameworks that can be used and what kind of features they provide. Then it will cover the setup of a PhoneGap project, and deploying and testing PhoneGap applications across different devices.

Some people had a hard time finding Adobe, as it's not obvious from the address. Even though the address says 34th Ave, it's actually on a side-street just south. Take a look @ the map above before you venture out. (Nav systems don't seem to get the address right, but Google and Bing do. Also, the google street view shows the main entrance.)

PhilipI thought the presenter, Ryan Stewart, did a great job presenting PhoneGap. I would like a follow up presentation on PhoneGap best practices for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.

Paul LitwinI felt that the speaker should have boosted the font for his demos and actually presented less material but deeper and slower. OTOH, the speaker was very responsive to questions and seemed to get better later. The after-talk gathering at the Red Door was great.Checked-in

Finally! The local PhoneGap meetup seems to be in limbo even though they are getting lots of new members. Looking forward to the meetup. Hope Ryan can speak to getting listed in the Kindle Fire app store (in addition to regional peace).
