The Seattle Attic is a space in downtown Seattle where individuals can come together to work on their own projects and meet others with similar interests.

We are feminist, woman-centered, trans- and queer-inclusive and open to all sorts of makers and crafters of any skill level. If you're a beginner, the Attic is a great space to explore new skills and our members can help you depending on what you want to learn.

What the Attic offers:

•  A library with books about feminism, knitting, sewing, programming, and other topics. You can see a list of our books on LibraryThing.

• Tools such as sewing machines, soldering tools, computers, electronics kits, knitting needles, and much more that you can use when visiting the space.

• A space to work on side projects. Official Attic members have 24-hour access.

• A space that is supportive and where you can feel safe. Please read our Code of Conduct and let us know if you have any questions.

• Events where you can socialize with other members, discuss what's on your mind, and learn new skills (e.g. book clubs, sewing classes, cross-stitch, getting into open source programming).

We do our best to maintain an explicitly intersectional feminist environment that welcomes members and guests of all genders, racial and cultural backgrounds, and levels of ability. If the Attic interests you, please come join us at an Open House or another event. Can't wait to meet you!

All events posted here in our Meetup group are open to the general public and subject to our Code of Conduct. Unless an event specifies otherwise, children are welcome to attend if they are accompanied by an adult to supervise them.
