What is your Chinese language skill level (native, advanced, intermediate, or beginner)?

Was intermediate, but with no practice for five or so years, somewhat less than intermediate.

What do you hope to get out of this meetup group?

Improve language skills.

Why are you interested in the Chinese language and/or culture?

Hi, I've had two years of Mandarin at Tulane University while hosting Chinese graduate students. One of the reasons I moved to Seattle is that I would make a lot of Chinese friends and become fluent. So far, such has not been the case.

What Dick is saying about this Meetup Group

Sure have met a lot of very nice people but no reliable language partners yet.
