Accelerate your mobile development with Azure!

This month we'll take a look at Azure Mobile Services and how it can accelerate your cross-platform app development. Mobile Services gives you a scalable, ASP.NET WebAPI based backend with built-in support for storage, authentication, push notifications and more. We'll look at how easily you can enable offline support for your apps with our new offline data sync feature, how to build hybrid cloud applications that can securely access on-premise data and services, and more.

Speaker: Paul Batum

Paul is a developer on the Azure team at Microsoft and builds cloud-based services that make life easier for mobile developers. Previously he's worked on WebSockets for .NET and Fluent NHibernate, an open source and convention based object-relational mapping library. When he's not writing code Paul likes to play board and video games.

I mentioned a couple of things tonight and wanted to immortalize them in writing.
First. If you're a startup, you should sign up for BizSpark for free. You'll get lots of free software (everyone together say "Visual Studio Ultimate") and Azure benefit to the tune of $150/mo for up to 8 team members! BTW, I only spend about $50 of my credit per month and I'm running quite a bit of stuff.
Second. If you're a startup, I'd love to interview you on CodeChat about what you're building, how, why, etc. It amounts to an interesting podcast for my listeners and to some often much needed exposure for your burgeoning startup.
    Take care!

How can I get credit for additional members? I've been emailing back and forth with my "azure point of contact" and he assures me Bizspark only provides $150/month in credit regardless of the number of members/accounts.

Looking forward to next months topics! Azure mobile services good topic. Especially enjoyed the last demo show how easy it is to use the offline/online bits. Also loved the robotics demo. Would be cool if Frank would share a parts list... maybe a blog on how to get started playing with the robotic side of Xamarin. See you at Evolve!

Sorry, I can't make it tonight and changing RSVP last minute. Thought I would be able to go back to Redmond and make it back to the city. And top of that traveling tonight. Hope everyone enjoys tonight's meetup
