I can make it on Friday for the installfest. I can probably help out on Saturday too, as it turns out. I'm not qualified to teach, but I could help in other ways as needed.

Awesome! You'll be TA-ing, which means helping students work through the curriculum. Look over the course ahead of time (links above). As a tech professional, you should be qualified to help people out, don't worry! Stick with me in the beginner group and it'll be fine :)

I can make it only on Friday for the installfest. Saturday is tentative for me at the moment. Is it ok ?

No problem. We'd rather have you for one day than none! :)

At this point, I think I can only name it on Friday, but I'm excited!

Sweet! I'm only able to make it Saturday, so glad we'll have extra help at the installfest! The installfest instructions can be found here: http://installfest.ra... Look them over before Friday and you'll be ready to help people through them.

Is this event good for starters? I need help installing / setting up rails.

    May 24, 2013

    • Strand M.

Hey Justin, this event is a parallel event to the [Seattle RailsBridge Workshop](http://www.meetup.com...). Basically, this event is for volunteers for the workshop, and the other event is the workshop itself.

The workshop is open to all, and ideal for beginners, but it is specifically designed to help women get started with Ruby on Rails. What that means is that if you do not identify as a woman, we ask that you come as the guest of a woman attendee. If you have a female friend who would be interested in learning Ruby, ask her if she'll come with you and y'all can learn together.

      Does this answer your question?
