Recurring meetup at a coffee shop or restaurant?

Hello, I'm wondering if there's a possibility of doing a recurring meetup, such as once a month or twice a month somewhere in Seattle? I noticed that the Eastside Russian group has several, and I would be interested in meeting some Russian speakers. Thanks!

If anynone happens to come across this before the meeting, a room could not be reserved so I am simply sitting in the lobby with a small sign hoping the I can catch people's attention. Unfortunately I thought this would be a good location when there was about 8 people and don't know how it will go with a larger group. In the worst case scenario, we'll have to break-up nd sit in different areas.

Thanks for your understanding! I'm really not an event planner, but hope to see many of you here!

Sorry, I had to work too late to make it in time; I'd probably get tehre by about 8pm... :(

Apologies for making it in Capitol Hill. I hope that doesn't cause problems for anyone, but I found that Piroshky on 3rd closes at 6pm, as does pretty much any decently sized coffee shop that I checked out in the downtown area. We can definitely rotate the location next time or find a sweet spot and stick with it (also, if anyone finds a better location to suggest for this round, go for it).

I will be coming from downtown, and if anyone else is, it looks like the 47 and 49 take you straight there.

Oh and as far as days, I like the suggestion of Thursday or Friday. Perhaps start off on a Thursday evening and go from there?

Hey Anastasia I'm fine with Thursday evenings and it also sounds like most folks in this thread are around the downtown area so I think pretty much anywhere downtown (you mentioned coffee shops, etc) will work. Would be great to meet and get to know everyone! :) Doh vstrechi :) -Dmitri

I'm glad there is interest! Sorry I haven't checked this since posting.

I see that there are suggestions for downtown areas such as Piroshki... I just found "Piroshki on 3rd" online, which is downtown (different from Piroshki Piroshki on Pike Place Market), but it's hard to gauge if there is seating or how large it is. Since I work downtown, I could try to visit it to get a feel.

Otherwise, there are several great coffee shops that my coffee-guru friend suggested which have more space and some even have rooms that you can reserve for get togethers. Some of the places she mentioned were Zeitgeist (downtown towards Pioneer Square), a large Starbucks on Capitol Hill with reservation rooms, Roy St. Coffee & Tea on Broadway (which also has rooms), and even Espresso Vivace on Yale.

Tons of options! I think it'd be fun to attempt finding an authentic-like establishment, so I'll check out Piroshki on 3rd and maybe make that the first one?

I would love to do this!!!!!!! Maybe someplace downtown would be ideal? I live in Beacon Hill. My schedule fluctuates too much to have an ideal time personally. I can never make it to the Eastside ones because they are too far for me to travel, so if we have one in Seattle I would be more likely to be available.
