2010 J. M. Boillot Montagny, Premier Cru
A very perfumed, citric nose with some forest pine and mineral nuances. It shows very thick fruit for a Montagny. With applesauce fruit and creamy vanilla flavors, it has a good degree of elegance for a Montagny. I really love this wine!
2006 Chateau Lagarosse ‘Les Comtes’ Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux
This wine is soft and elegant on the nose, with notes of fresh fruit and oak. On the palate, it displays vanillin oak notes and ripe tannins, leading to a long finish. It’s a delicious example of Bordeaux winemaking with the spotlight shining brightly on the Merlot variety.
2009 Chateau Recougne, Bordeaux Superieur
Robert Parker at one time called Recougne the finest Bordeaux Superieur. This is liberally toasty up front, with a mocha edge giving way to notes of espresso and spice, yet pure red currant, black cherry and plum fruit emerges from behind, with a roasted cedar edge inlaid on the finish.
2009 E. Guigal Cotes du Rhone
Full with a long finish and plenty of elegance and finesse due to the well balanced tannins and fruit. A blend of Syrah, Morvegre & Grenache. We will be tasting this Sauterne also:
2010 Chateau Haut-Manye, Sauternes
