IxDA Seattle presents Seattle IA & UX meet up! Join us for some good company and conversation on a monthly basis. We get together to have drinks, chat, network, and share knowledge with people interested in information architecture, user experience, interaction design, usability, development, library science and more.
We feature speakers as well as informal networking. Beverages and snacks are included as part of the attendance fee.
It's open to anyone, so bring a friend -- especially those in other local organizations! The format is casual, but all are encouraged to bring something to discuss - recent work, an interesting topic, or even your resume. See you there!

Micro-Interventions, Macro-Impact
·OnlineOnlineDesign is not just about usability, it’s also about psychological support and human well-being. Many designers know this, but achieving these goals can be surprisingly difficult. When the focus is often on optimizing efficiency, how can designers change their approach to be more supportive of modern user needs?
In this talk, Xiangqi Liu will discuss designing digital experiences that support users during moments of stress, anxiety, or cognitive overload. This presentation will include practical frameworks and techniques for designing for users in emotional and cognitive distress.
Join us to see a fresh perspective on the future of UX, where we consider not only what users can do, but how users feel while doing it.
This event is presented by IxDA Seattle.
