The Business End: Copyright & Contractual Relations for Creatives

As creatives we're taught to think 'blue sky' 'open field' 'outside the box.' All vital skills for being imaginative for a living, but what happens when free form thinking runs into by the book legal matters such as freelance contracts and creative copyrights?

Intellectual property attorney, Rachel Buker, will present on the basics of copyright, such as types of works protected, ownership, and benefits of registration. This presentation will also address contractual issues including copyright assignment and licensing, works made for hire, and other key considerations for transactions involving creative works.
