August Meetup: Your WordPress Site as a Hub for Connections & Conversation

The main presentation on August 18th will be Connecting and Conversations with WordPress - by one of our assistant organizers, Bob Dunn of http://bobwp.com .
Summary:
The presentation will be about 40 minutes—with 5 minutes for questions at the end. Bob will also carry this conversation to the beginners group after the main session. This presentation has something for the beginner, as well as the veteran WordPress user. He'll talk about how to use your WordPress blog or site as a social media hub, how to stimulate conversations on your blog and other ways to make your site user-friendly.
You will learn:

Tips and plugins that will make your visitor’s experience a positive one.

Reasons you should make your blog or site your social media hub.

Plugins to make it easier for your readers to connect with you on the social media platforms you are active in.

The two must-have pages on your blog and/or website.

Tips, widgets and plugins for getting more comments on your blog.

The do’s and don’ts of effective commenting.
