The London Digital Challenge

The 1st London Digital Challenge will take place on Saturday the 1st of June 2013. With a contestants briefing at 11.am and will finish at 5pm.

Book Your Place

To book your place on The London Digital Challenge on Saturday 1st June please RSVP via our partners SecretEvents.org meetup website (https://www.meetup.com/SecretEvents/events/119855102/). We will shortly be introducing an online booking and payment system

The Mission

You will be given a list of Famous London Destinations and Landmarks to visit along with some challenges and tasks – as you go around you will need to record proof that you have been to the places and completed the simple tasks – You can do this with a Smartphone, Tablet or other digital media device such as camera or video.

Sounds Easy - It Will Be :)

Well some places will be worth more points than others, so study your map of London and decide which are worth going to and which are not. We will give you suggested tube stops but it is up to you to decide where to go and where to avoid. You can either try and be super competitive or just take it at your own pace and just the visit places you want to. Remember this is a dual challenge and The Best Image of the Day comp also wins a trophy - so you may visit fewer places but still win!!!

Bonus Points will be awarded to those answering The LDC Bonus Questions which will accompany your list of places and things to do. Ask at the place, use Google on your device or pop into an internet cafe if you find one en route but remember the clock will be ticking…..

PRIZES

As if having a great day out, zooming round London on buses, tubes etc taking in the sights and attractions with a digital record of your day out and where you have been in the worlds best city is not enough – We will award not 1 but 2 trophies!!!

1st Trophy For The person/Team of 2 who can records all their mission using photographs or Video and visits the most locations and answers the most bonus points correctly.

2nd Trophy for the Best Pic of the Day which will be decided by public vote and needs to capture the spirit of you being in London.

You will have to look at some of the places and work out whether or not they are worth visiting based on the number of points the location/task s worth as well as trying to answer The Bonus Questions.

Digital Camcorder, Camera or Smart Phone - REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CHARGER WITH YOU

If using a Smart Phone, the ability to upload to The Facebook Group
The London Digital Challenge (https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-London-Challenge/459943394091650) will gain you brownie points and your checkout at the end of the day will be quicker as well as being able to view other contestants progress.

Only 1 person per team needs a Digital Camcorder, Camera or Smart Phone

BE ON TIME FOR MISSION BRIEFING AT 11AM – Mission Ends 5pm

Briefing for your mission will start at 11am
(Please arrive 15 minutes early)

at The Hurricane Rooms Club, 368 grays Inn Rd, Kings Cross WC1X 8BB

You will need to attend this briefing and as soon as it is completed you are free to start your challenge – However the clock ticks from noon so the sooner you have your briefing the better – The Clock Will Stop ticking at 5pm and you will be given a Secret Location to Finish The Mission.

At the end of the mission we will meet up in a very nice Central London Pub and discuss how each other got on, what strategy people used and some of us may have one or more drinks.

Having completed the mission, you will have been to some great places and sights in London, maybe some that you have never been to before in London, have some amazing photo memories and the opportunity to impress your friends with some new found knowledge.
