Hike Ute Valley Park

Hi Secular Hikers,

Weather permitting; there will be a short hike on Sunday, May 18th at Ute Valley Park.  Georgianne and I have to be home by noon because we I have tickets for the Philharmonic in the afternoon.

There are several trails from which to choose. Most of the trails are relatively easy trails.

The trailhead parking lot is off Vindicator Drive a bit east of Centennial Blvd, but it is very small and very crowded on weekends.  There is on street parking on Bison Ridge Drive if the trailhead parking lot is full.  Therefore, we will carpool from the Woodmen Valley park-n-ride. To get there from Interstate 25 and Woodmen Road, go west to the first stop light, turn left (south) on Corporate Drive, turn right (west) at the first intersection onto Mark Dabling Blvd, take an immediate right turn into the parking lot. We will leave the Woodmen Valley park-n-ride at 9:00 AM.

For those who would prefer to meet at the trailhead parking lot, it is a bit east of Centennial Blvd just south of Vindicator Drive, near Bison Ridge Drive.  However, I would prefer that almost no one do this because the parking lot is extremely small.  We will start hiking around 9:15 AM.

Please bring enough water on the hike.

Please let me know if you plan on attending the hike. If you change your mind, please let me know that also.

p.s.  If this is your first hike with the Secular Hikers or if you have already given more than $0.50 per person per hike you attended or $10.00 within the last year, please ignore this message.

It costs me $72 twice a year to be a meetup organizer.  Would you please consider helping by sharing this expense?  If I receive about $0.50 per person (including guests) per hike or (to avoid a bunch of quarters) $1.00 per person about every other hike you attend, I would come out roughly even.

Everyone seemed to enjoy this relatively easy hike. The scenery, weather and people were great.

Rich, I've had a very full week and need a full day off, so I'm going to rescind my RSVP for this hike.

I'll see you at the trailhead in Palmer Lake on Monday morning.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
