Participate with your Therapy Dog in read events with schools and libraries in Wake County where children can read with dogs. We have over 30 reading opportunities each month and always need therapy dogs and their handlers to help out. Please note, your dog must have PET THERAPY CERTIFICATION from a NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED PET THERAPY ORGANIZATION to participate, and ALL NEW MEMBERS MUST ATTEND A NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION BEFORE ATTENDING ANY READ SESSIONS. Contact See Spot Read's director, Beth Cooke Weaver, at bethcooke@aol.com  or home 919 848-8776,919 414-0325 c for more information. Come and see what we are all about!!  All Therapy Dog Teams represent their certifying Therapy Organization when attending read events listed on the See Spot Read Calendar.  See Spot Read Calendar gives Certified Therapy Organization Teams opportunities in the community to volunteer with on a flexible and coordinated basis. A NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION can be attended by joining this Meetup Site and RSVPing to that event.  They can also be attended for information purposes only to see if these opportunities would be a good fit for you and your dog.  Therapy Certification can be obtained later, but this is the only event that can be attended without current certification.  Thank you!
