Learn to Solder, Professionally, With hobby tools

Details
Come learn to solder a simple project (anyone with basic hand eye coordination should do fine) and get professional quality instruction on correct techniques for soldering even without professional equipment. We will cover: Safety (heat and lead), timing, flow, tip care, cleaning, flux, component insertion, and technique. We will also learn how to fix soldering errors, such as blobs or shorts, bad ("cold") joints, how to remove, repair, or move a part, how to compensate for damaged pads. A quick overview of surface mount soldering will be included if time allows. Seekers will go home with a completed "Maker Badge" (blinky eye robot lapel pin thing) and lot's of ideas for what to do next.
