An evening workshop of touring .Net (Microsoft and Mono) functionality within Semantic Technologies - What's not-so Far Out There. This event will be the first in a series for Programming the Semantic Web, and will be available with a limited number of remote systems courtesy of LearniT! and other facilities we are courting. You will also be able to download instructions and materials from links provided on our Message Board and File Download area Mentored by Jill McRae, .NET enterprise distributed solutions, SQL & BI Data Architect, and XML/RDF/ReST evangelist (and seemingly "never at home" expert - apologies here).
Load up your laptops and come enjoy the camaraderie complete with traditional "flat food" (currently in "beggar" status on this - anyone care to contribute?). Jill and friends (James among these) have been unearthing the most surprising things of late as .NET enthusiasts around the world embrace Semantic Technologies. Not surprising, as we have been at this stuff for over 15 years providing professional solutions to national Utilities, telecoms, Department retailers, Academia and technical training providers through a wide range of technologies. Traveling extensively as both consultants, devloper trainers, and .NET evangilists; we have had opportunity to work with organizations striving to accomodate necessary changes as information systemsgrow way beyond their foreseen bounds.
Download sites for the technology to be reviewed will be posted soon, and you are also invited to start message-boarding prior to the Meetup, of your own discoveries for .NET in Semantic Technologies (Open Source & Microsoft). All will be brought together for review the night of the Meetup!
We will be providing infrastructure to remote this Meetup for Semantic Meetup Alliance co-organizations, so spread the word!
