About Serious Second Life Meetup in Boulder

OBJECTIVE: This group is committed to raise the skill level of members in understanding Virtual World technology and in using Second Life specifically as a professional tool. We are professionals who are passionate about leveraging this technology for serious endeavors, building upon the legacy of gaming and entertainment. This would include education, business, science, the arts, and whatever else your imagination can conceive.

VIRTUAL MEMBERS: So, you do not live in Boulder, Colorado? Tough! But, you have a lot of company!

You can be a virtual member and attend our meetings in-world. We are committed to Blended Events where the experience is the same in-world as real-world. Of course, we are a long way from achieving this. Be patience with us. At each meeting, we are trying something new.

Further, we are committed to starting Serious Second Life Meetups in other locations. As a virtual member, you can act as a catalyst for starting a group in your community. All the material that we create (such as workshop syllabuses) are Creative Commons licensed, meaning that you can freely use and enhanced this material (as long as you do likewise).

Finally, join the SL group "Serious SL Meetup of Boulder" because notices and group chat/voice will be done in-world.
