For those of you who volunteer at Harvesters here is some information on a couple new and unique volunteer opportunities they are making available to us.  If you are fans of the Chiefs and/or the Renaissance Festival I would suggest you check them out.  These are primarily for individual volunteers but we could go as a small group to the Renaissance Festival.  If you are interested individually please contact Laura Marshall directly.  Here contact information is below.  Tell her you are from ServeKC when you call!  Thanks!!

Hi Aaron!

Good to hear your voice again.  Starting a new job always has an added level of stress the first year while I learn on the fly.  It is worth it when the work is a good fit.  I am glad that you like the position and you are finding new things in your work.

I am attaching a couple of flyers for upcoming volunteer opportunities outside of the VOC here.  The Arrowhead event would have to be individuals or couples signing up with their own name in the database.  I can still put the organization as “Serve KC”, to track hours contributed by your group.  The Renaissance Festival we can talk about and reserve a shift or two with Serve KC, or go on an individual basis with “Serve KC” as the organization.

Sorry I won’t see you here this evening, but I am very glad it worked out.

Best Regards,

Laura

Farmland Foods and Harvesters are "Bacon a Difference" for hungry people this summer. For every bacon package purchased through Labor Day, Farmland will donate 4.3 cents to Harvesters.
