This group is intended to be a refuge from sex-negativity and body-shame in our culture. We believe in empowering people to challenge unfair gender stereotypes, expectations and double standards, liberate their sexuality and bodies and become more authentic and whole in the process. Here, members can celebrate bodies and their capacity for pleasure, enjoy the company of other sex- and body-positive people, and talk about relationships and sex, and how they might improve their own, in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Please refer to our Glossary page for definitions of terms used in this description and throughout our site.

Everyone 18 and over is welcome to join, be they female or male, single or partnered, gay or straight, young or old, skinny or fat, vanilla or kinky, monogamous or polyamorous, or anything in between. The type and frequency of events that we have will depend on what members ask for and what we can find hosts and venues for, so please join and let us know what you're looking for. We'd like to have many different events to fulfill the interests of a broad range of people. We ask that each member have one and only one profile in the group (no couple's or duplicate accounts, please). We look forward to your participation in our group at events and on our site.

We currently have many more male members than female ones and so are especially interested in recruiting female (and female-identifying) members and are selective as to what men we allow to join the group. Ladies, please let us know if there is anything that we can do to persuade you to join our group, and also let us know about any concerns you have about joining, as we may be able to address them. We want this to be a group that women enjoy and feel comfortable, listened to and respected in. However, this depends on the participation and feedback of women. Men, if you are just looking for no-strings-attached hookups, that is not what sex-positive means. You'll have better luck with that on Craigslist or Adult Friend Finder. We want men that have something to contribute to the group. Transexual, intersexual and gender-bending folks, you're welcome too!

We hope that members will make new friends in the group and find lovers or play partners if that is what they are looking for. We ask that members and their guests at events respect and listen to each other as whole people, work toward enthusiastic consent for any physical intimacy they engage in and never attempt to coerce or manipulate another into doing something. Before posting a greeting on a member's profile, sending them an email via meetup or initiating any contact with them that could be unwanted, please note their preferences regarding these in their answers to the last set of questions in their profile. Failure to respect a member's answers to these questions may get you banned from the group.

We understand that you may have concerns regarding your privacy. Please see our Privacy page for our advice and policies regarding member privacy and complaints.
