The term " shaman " comes originally from the evinki people of siberia. This means " the one who knows". I started this group so that I can teach and connect others who are interested in shamanism. This is a method of healing that originated from indigenous societies. It is a method of healing and knowledge which works closely with the earth and spirits who work closely with the shaman to help his/her community and the earth. A shaman is often called " one that sees in the dark", they have the ability to easily enter an altered state of reality to enter the spirit world to help others with divination, counselling and healing. They also have the ability to travel at will to another reality to obtain power and knowledge. Connecting with the shamanic path, enhances your spiritual team to help yourself and others. The spiritual team from the spirit world can include power animals, ancesters and our spiritual guides and healer guides. The shaman states that there are 3 levels of reality, lower, middle and upper worlds. Travelling to these different worlds can enhance our connection with the spirits that reside there and enable us to carry out our shamanic work. The shaman is the servant of the people and of the spirit world. As I see this group is one that can serve as a supportive group for others who are drawn to shamanism. This group will also include outdoor work where we will work closely with the earth. From my experience spontaneous initiations take place when on the shamanic path, a teacher just helps hold the space.

 A shaman is sometimes referred to as a " wounded healer", this means that the shaman has passed through a difficult illness or crisis and has survived, and as a result often connect with the path of a " shaman". While this group involves working with traditional journey work, I have learnt a number of different shamanic techniques which also work outside the traditional method of journeying. I am particularly interested in helping others to connect to and strengthern their connection with the elements. I have travelled and trained with amazing teachers. In america and hawaii I trained with hank Wesselman and Serge Khahili King and in europe with Jonathan Horwitz. I  travel extensively connecting with various sacred sites, teaching and working directly with the source earth consciousness through my alchemy training and work with her teacher Tareth over many life times. 

 I am also training to be a plant spirit medicine practitioner with Elliott Cowan. This is training which will involve working energetically with the spirit of plants using shamanic techniques to heal others. I aim to help others connect to the higher frequencies of spirits and earth for shamanic work and to create " independent shamans" to naturally connect to their inherent wisdom.

As a group we also conduct healing ceremonies for those who need healing, we have had some wonderful results. You can email me in advance if you would like a group healing, or this can happen on the day. It is a wonderful " community event".
