How do I pay?

Payment is cash at the door at full price or you can now pay by WeChat before the start of the event and get a 25 RMB discount if you have set up WeChat Wallet on your phone.

Choose from two methods to pay by WeChat:

METHOD 1 (easiest)

Use "Scan QR Code" on your WeChat "+" option and scan (or long press if you are in a WeChat browser session right now) this QR code:

http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/9/b/1/e/600_441999710.jpeg

You will be prompted to Transfer 125 RMB. Enter your security code to authorize the transfer and you are done.

In case the above doesn't work (ex: You see a message saying 'Network Error') or if you would like to confirm or ask a question, try this:

METHOD 2

Add the Shanghai Forum WeChat account (ID: businessevents) or scan the QR code below to connect (or long press if you are reading this inside the WeChat browser application to extract the QR code):

http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/d/c/a/0/600_441116480.jpeg

NEXT, after being confirmed, select Me > Wallet > Transfer > pick Shanghai Forum 'businessevents' account and enter amount '125' yuan (or more if you are confirming for more than one person), then click transfer.

That's it!

Notes for both Methods 1 and 2:

• This payment goes directly to the organizer of the Shanghai Forum's WeChat account (WeChat ID: businessevents) We understand many of you are trying this payment method for the first time so as an optional step if you wish to ask a question to us or verify the transaction, after you add this WeChat account (businessevents) you can text to us directly with any questions, or to let us know you have made the payment. We follow this account regularly but please be patient for us to get back to you after your query.

• If you would like to prepay for additional friends, simply follow the above process of scanning and transferring two or more times for however many friends you are paying for.

• Prepayments are to secure the discount and hold your place. The prepayments are non-refundable but they can be transferred to another person for the event date. Text to the Shanghai Forum's Wehat account 'businessevents' with details if you wish to send somebody in your place.

• In case your WeChat name you made the payment with is different from your Meetup name (or if you are paying for friends etc), please let us know either by text or at the door so we can more easily match you up. If you don't let us know, there may be a short delay while we verify a transaction.

Can I get a fapiao / official receipt?

As Shanghai Forum is a Meetup Community, it cannot issue official fapiao receipts.

We can issue you a standard written receipt (a shouju) at the door after the main check-in has finished (in order to keep a line from forming). Please ask for details.

Is it okay to arrive late or early?

RSVP sign-in begins at 6:30 p.m. and food and beverages are served before 7 p.m. We usually start the presentation at 7:30 and the meetup has been scheduled at this time to allow people to finish work and get to the venue, which is in central Shanghai. Please try to get there before 7:30 p.m. for networking and to reserve a seat. Once full the venue will not allow additional attendees, no matter the time. The organizer will be there from 6:30 and in general we cannot guarantee early admittance.
