It has been decades since a Chess tournament has been held in Winchester. We hope to learn and improve the format for the future. In the future we will plan city-wide Open tournaments with cash prizes and quality trophies. All funds and donations will be used to facilitate future chess activities in the Shenandoah Valley.

There are 5 slots remaining. The tournament will take 4-5 hours to complete. If you are able to commit to the finish, it would greatly help our ability to organize.

Please contact me as soon as possible if you are interested.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

David Hubbard

The Shenandoah Valley Chess Club promotes the study and knowledge of the game of chess, for its own sake as an art and enjoyment, but also as a means for the improvement of the Shenandoah Valley region.

We are excited to partner with the Handley Library to promote the educational and civic benefits of this classic game to all people in our community.
