Wow.... what an amazing day we have planned on this day trip! We will be travelling on our deluxe highway motor coach and visiting a number of places in Prince Edward County in eastern Ontario near the very picturesque town of Picton, Ontario.

Our day trip includes the following:

Tour and tasting at a winery. Tour & tasting is included in the price. A light lunch served to us on an outdoor patio at the winery itself. Lunch is included in the price. Tour and tastings at one of Ontario's leading hard cider companies. Hard cider is an alcoholic "wine" made 100% from apples. Tour and tasting is included in the price. A visit to one of Ontario's premier gourmet ice cream outlets with some highly unusual ice-creams. Your choice of any one of their ice creams is included in the price. A visit to the Lake On The Mountain Provincial Park. An amazing natural feature of Prince Edward County, this is a huge lake perched in the mountains around Picton.Where does the water come from? We will be having a boxed picnic snack at the Park. The picnic snack box is included in the price. The price of the trip includes all of the above, round trip bus transportation on a deluxe highway bus (yes, there is a bathroom on the bus), and all taxes and all tips. Winery

Our first stop will be an estate winery. Winner of countless awards, they are known for their Maple IceWine, their Vidals and their Baco Noirs.

This is a beautiful winery majestically perched on a gently sloping hillside overlooking Lake Ontario. Surrounded by orchards and perfectly manicured vineyards, we will be dining on their tent-covered covered outdoor patio, just steps from the water.

Our lunch will include a choice of soup or salad followed by a choice of a light entree such as sandwiches or burgers. Vegetarian options will be available.

The winery also has a boutique outlet that sells hand made chocolates and gelatos and you will have the opportunity to shop for some after your lunch.

Cider Company

After our cheese tasting we will board the bus again and proceed to visit a cider company and estate winery. This is a small family-operated estate winery specializing in mouth-watering hard ciders. Hard cider is an alcoholic drink made from fermented apple juice. Crafted from the best apples grown on their family farm and nearby orchards, their ciders are made with 100% pure apple juice.

We will be touring their winery and tasting some of their award winning ciders.

Lake On The Mountain Provincial Park

After we have done our tour and tasting at the cider company, we will proceed to visit one of Picton's most picturesque and unusual natural wonders.... the Lake On The Mountain.

This is a lake that is perched in the mountains surrounding Picton. There appears to be no natural spring or other snow runoff... so where does the water come from? And on one side of the road is the Lake On The Mountain and on the other side of the road is Lake Ontario, hundreds of feet below. It's amazing that all of the water on one side doesn't rush over the road and down the side of the mountain into Lake Ontario.

We will be spending about an hour here. Picnic snack boxes will be provided. Vegetarian option available.

And by the time we finish our picnic snack boxes, it will be time to board the bus for one final time for our journey home after a spectacular day in eastern Ontario.

Trip Cost

The cost of the trip is $114 per person and includes round trip deluxe motor coach transportation, winery tour and tasting, artisanal gourmet ice cream outlet visit with your choice of any one of their ice creams, cider company tour and tasting, visit to the Lake On The Mountain provincial park, lunch at the winery, picnic snack boxes at the provincial park, all tolls, all taxes and all tips.

The trip is restricted to adults 19 years of age and older.

Payment Method

The best way to pay is online through this site. Simply RSVP to the event and pay online using any major credit card or Paypal.

If you prefer to pay using an alternate method, I am happy to accept almost any other method of payment including cash, cheque, email money transfer, bank wire transfer and money orders. Please contact me and let me know how you wish to pay and I will email you the appropriate instructions.

Please note that receipt of payment is required before you can be added to the passenger list.

Pickup Locations

We depart from York Mills Subway Station at 8AM. We do a second pickup in Whitby. Full details and final instructions will be sent to all confirmed attendees 2 days before the trip to the email address provided at the time of registration.
