I have two Huskey's and a Samoyed with my wife Ali and son Kyle. We love our Texas Snow Dogs. I am a local Real Estate Broker and avid fan of the Breed. They walk us 2-4 miles a day and make every day a joy.
So my pack can run and play and interact with other Huskey's and to meet the wonderful people who are also fans of the Greatest Dogs ever.
Tor (his Granddaddy was International and Canada Champion), Natasha (our Town Lake Rescue), Champ (my new best friend, Samoyed, also a Rescue). The breed name is interesting, in Russian Samoyed means "Eat himself". Samoyed is not a real word, you probably would not find in a dictionary, but it comes from "sam" (self) and "yed" from the word "eat" with "o" being a connection vowel. In other word, it would imply the animal that is called Samoyed does not need to much of a care as it could take care of itself, and this is probably why they called the breed that way due to their (per your words) unpretentiousness and smartness. Champ is Very handsome guy! :). He reminded me, of While Fang by Jack London.
