Lower Beachwood Cyn Stairway Walk

On this walk in the Hollywood Hills, see the Vendanta Temple, a Russian Orthodox church, a monastery, a castle, the homes of Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Taylor, and the apartment house where guru Krishnamurti lived. This walk is all on pavement, about 3 miles up and down. Meet 10:00am in front of the Monastery of the Angels at Gower & Carmen (north of the 101 fwy). Take Gower one block north of Franklin, turn left on Carmen. Street parking. Redline stops at Hollywood Bl & Vine. Bring water, hat, comfy shoes and $$ for the monastery giftshop - especially for a loaf of the nuns' famous pumpkin bread. yum....
