Tour Ballona Wetlands

This month our weekday outing will be a tour of the Ballona Wetlands.

O: Ballona Wetlands and Playa Vista. Enjoy an easy paced hike as we explore Ballona Discovery Park, the freshwater marsh and the new planned community of Playa Vista. Appreciate the beautifully restored wetland that was created by volunteers within the last 20 years from a dry field. See the community that was created in the heart of “Silicon Beach.” Meet 10:00AM at Discovery Park, 13110 Bluff Creek Dr, Playa Vista, CA 90094. Take Lincoln Blvd to Bluff Creek Dr, go east - the park is located next to Playa Vista Elementary School (13150 W Bluff Creek Dr, Playa Vista, CA 90094). Parking available along Bluff Creek Dr and on nearby streets.

OR CARPOOL: Meet 8:30AM at Burbank rideshare (Joslyn Center 1301 W Olive Ave, Burbank 91506 - park in back lot by Clark St).

Wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat, water, $ for optional lunch after. Heavy rain cancels.
