Hike to GIBRALTAR ROCK VIA RATTLESNAKE TRAIL

Hike up a wooded canyon with scenic views to Gibraltar Rock. Moderately Strenuous (some steep sections) 5.5 mile round trip.
Bring lunch and plenty of water.
Carpool from behind B of A on upper State St. at Hope Ave. at 9AM.

Yes I did - the spring is definitely here. I took some pictures as well and just got through downloading them. They all look so nice. Can't wait to go back.

I can not keep up a swift pace, and i enjoy seeing the scenery and new spring flowers along the way, so I did not stay with group. It was a beautiful hike up to the road, which is as far as I went. Someday , I would like to find my way to Gibraltar Rock. I would also like to hike with others who might keep the same pace. Beautiful day , without a doubt!

Hi, I went only as far as the meadow but I have also enjoyed todays hike. I stopped many times on the way back to admire the pools and the little caves and I had taken some pictures as well. I also find it richer this way rather then run up and run down. Even though there is something to be said about being with a group and enjoy meeting new people. Perhaps, we will have to get together for the next one since we seem to be of like minds.
