Sierra Single Trackers

Come challenge yourself mentally and physically with us! We're a co-ed group of mountain bikers with ability levels that range from some single track experience to intermediate and better. We like to get together to improve our skills, explore new trails and have a good time. We ride year round, as long as it isn't snowing or raining. We will be riding trails that put the mountain in mountain biking; we pass on rides that are gravel roads or paved bike paths. We'll have rides that will make your heart thump, from excitement or exertion or both. We do not all ride at the same pace, but we will do our best not to leave someone slow or struggling behind.

Be sure your bike is built for the ride and in good condition. We will be going over rocks, up steep climbs, and through loose materials. It's OK to walk your bike up something too steep or technical for you, safety first; we're all trying to improve. If you’re just getting started with mountain biking, this might be a little much for you. This is not a class. While we can offer a little help or advice, we're here to ride. You will need to have some mountain biking skills: shifting, climbing, descents, braking. Helmets are mandatory, and you will need gloves, a spare tube and patch kit, appropriate clothing, water and snacks.

Ride Difficulty Classifications: Pace is determined by the leader. Please view the TERRAIN and PACE CLASSIFICATIONS in the ABOUT page.

In case you are unaware, bike riding on roads / trails has inherent risks. This includes potential INJURY and even DEATH, from cars, trees, the ground, other riders, dehydration, hypothermia, heat exhaustion, mechanical failures, etc. Your involvement in group activities indicates you understand these risks and acknowledge YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for your health and well-being while participating in pre/during/post ride activities related to this group. Please do your best to be prepared for rides.
