Silicon Beach Revival 2016 - Q&A with Damien King, CTO of Guvera

In January we kicked off a revival of Silicon Beach Gold Coast to drive a greater collaboration with the Digital / Creative Agency arena locally and help impact the development of the Startup Technology eco-system around the Gold Coast region.

In March we commenced our Q&A series and had the guys from FixedPriceCarService provide an awesome overview on their Startup and where they are currently up to in the market.

This month apart from the usual great networking that occurs we have the pleasure of having a Q&A session with the CTO of Guvera, Damien King.

As Guvera’s Chief Technology Officer, Damien is responsible for the IT Department including Product Development, Engineering, Operations, Support, Platforms and overall Technology Innovation.

Damien has a passion for innovation and technology and has overseen many key product enhancements such as the Guvera Global Delivery Platform that supports over 15Million users and is tuned for expansion into emerging markets. His work for the company to date has seen Guvera win five awards for mobile design and innovation. Before joining Guvera in 2013, Damien co-founded BeeLiked, a leading social media promotions company in the UK and was Head of Development, Digital Entertainment, at Virgin Media in London.
With more than 15 years of experience in the online industry under his belt, Damien has also contributed to major projects for household names such as the BBC, BHP Billiton and GlaxoSmithKline. Damien is a qualified ScrumMaster and Agile Practitioner, a senior member of the Australian Computer Society (MACS Snr CP) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).
