    Friends:
As most of you, I was so impressed by the talk that I felt like writing up a few words on the talk. http://cloud-krbabu.blogspot.com/2013/07/on-universal-applicability-of-scrum.html. Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

Stacey - I'd like to personally thank you and the team of volunteers that helped you put together this event. Its always pleasure to hear from an "Agile great' such as jeff and have an opportunity to run some thoughts & questions by him.
For what it's worth, I wouldn't object to contributing dollars for other such talks by agile leaders such as Alistair Coburn, Ken Schwaber, Mike Cohn, Dean Leffingwell, Kent Beck, etc.

Absolutely. One of my stickies said 'thanks' for the audacity to allow us to pay for what we (all, obviously) wanted.

Thanks. Kudos to the volunteers and our awesome sponsors - Scaled Agile, Solutions IQ, Bratton & Co, Aligned Technology and Paypal made this work.

Great presentation with take-aways that I can put to use immediately.

I did a little search-engine-ing, and came up w this link for more info and a slide deck for a similar presentation: http://scrumlab.scruminc.com/articles.html/_/open/scrum-the-future-of-work-r86

Jeff Sutherland's presentation really covered the history of scrum and provide fuel and centering for moving the agile movement along. Very inspiring and encouraging. Great to hear that companies are going to get on board ( or won't be around ) cause everyone wants to enjoy and be challenged by there work. Life learning thru and thru.

Amazing pictures Kristina. Stacey, thanks a ton for organizing this and hey thanks a ton for your innovative thinking ensuring that Jeff is able to come and conduct this meeting despite the fact that he had cancelled it once.
It was amazing to talk with Jeff one on one and for his presentation laced with real life experiences that he share with us. The style of deliver and connecting with every one had a thing or two to be learned from him besides ofcourse Agility and Scrum.
Thanks to all the sponsors too.

It was great to see the real life examples of challenges & success. Can we get copy of the slides that Jeff shared?

    July 17, 2013

I've seen Jeff speak several times and this was my favorite one so far. I found the Scrum = Lean conversation fascinating and wonder what implications it'll have in the agile community.

    1 · July 17, 2013

    • Steve M.

Agreed. I hope the effect is is a focus on 'what works' and not a focus on 'what this is called'.

Jeff provided memorable, compelling teaching stories of the value of Scrum, backed up by statistics that left one pondering the extraordinary power of Agile values and principles, and the importance of actually applying them in order to harvest that value. Thanks to Stacey, his fine organizing team and volunteers, and the sponsors for another event that left me thinking, "Wow, I am glad I came!"

Jeff was very articulate. His insights, coming from a co-creator of the Scrum framework, were especially valuable. But I thought he might have given us some idea of how, and the degrees to which, the various practice-elements of Scrum, e.g. the role of the Business Owner, the self-organization, contribute to its success. Also he might have spoken to the factors involved in the cases of its failure.

Forgot to mention on my sticky note - I liked the tie in of Scrum practices to American values, and that it's about 'fun'.

Great, although this was almost 100% a repeat of his Keynote speech at the Scrum Alliance Gathering in Las Vegas this past May
