Postponed: Open Source Automotive Developments in China: How can we participate?

John Du will present on the recently created "Opencarlab" automotive open source tech community in China. He'll share how smartphones and apps are changing the Chinese user's life and how China's market-dominant web properties Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent ("BAT") are meeting and influencing consumer needs. He is eager to hear both what has been done and the future plans for automotive open source in Silicon Valley and hopes to lead an open dialogue exploring how the two communities can work together more closely in the future.

John is Director of the China Science Lab for GM China http://media.gm.com/media/cn/en/gm/company.html . John worked at Intel in both the US and China for 15 yrs before joining GM China in 2009.

As per usual, doors will open at 6:30PM with John set to start speaking at 7PM.
