Tell us a little about your interest and history with cars and open source. There are no wrong answers, so feel no pressure!

I've been involved in industrial automation and embedded projects with a strong focus on low-level Linux development; later I joined an automotive group in South America. I was also fully involved on a start-up that had opportunities to work with tier-one automotive suppliers mostly related with SIMRAV, the Brazilian mandatory anti-theft requirement so I got fully involved on Telematics establishing some projects with China. I participated on SIMRAV Working Groups and our implementation of ACP245 protocol is being used for several key players. I also got involved in corporate and management. At the end of 2012 group operations were acquired by a China company so I take the opportunity and voluntary quit and also start-up operations were finished. I'm currently acting as an independent consultant involved on automotive technology projects and open for new opportunities.

I strive to take advantage of the experiences that I collected as an engineer doing telecom and embedded development and later on management roles fully involved with the automotive industry and international business development in South America.
