I have an experience with working on Infotainment system software for OEMs and Tier 1s from Germany, US and Japan for a decade as a board support package. I organized creating initial batch of code for their experimental system and then go through their test process and hand off the code to their integrators. Earlier I worked on a microprocessors at a Japanese semiconductor company and became the first batch corporate working with Richard Stallman before he became big. I contracted Cygnus Support and ported GNU and later Linux. I personally work on ground up interior, exterior and power train over restoration of automobiles to gain bottom up automotive industry view. Up to this point OEMs and Tier 1 projects defined my work rather than I define projects. I am trying to grow a new leaf where I seek what I can contribute to automotive in more concrete manner. In late 2013 I registered a nonprofit organization Open Core Foundation in CA to promote a universal freedom in creating chips.
I have worked on three connected or somewhat connected automotive infotainment systems for European and US OEM. I now have a company in CA to work with automotive OEM, Tier 1 and Tier 2s. Lately I am looking for some way to bring new ideas.
