Another great meetup! General response: don't show videos (can be seen on own time); Duly noted. We'll have another speaker come next Tuesday! Thanks again, John, for speaking at last week's meeting: it was incredibly informative and helpful for a wide range of understanding when it came to Bitcoin security trading platforms.

Does anyone have any lists of best-in-class software they want to discuss?

I say discuss why there are different wallets provided...why are there different clients? Why are all clients in windows proceeded with -QT? (otherwise, I"d like to talk about more of the merchants and businesses that we know of locally who accept btc [first party] not something like gyft)

[QT](http://qt.digia.com/) is (or tries... how it tries) to be a cross-platform UI framework.

Thanks for setting this up, and for feeding us! Suggestion for future meetings: while the Techcrunch video was interesting, it's something that we could watch on our own. Prefer to use the time to meet and discuss. See you next time.

While yes, it is something we could have watched on our own, it is good to have something to tie the discussions together. A "Schelling Point" (opposite of a "Shot in the Dark") for conversation, if you will. What else could we use to set such a tone?

I was telling Shawn my coworker that I wished I could have part of more of the conversations....a whole lot of good stuff seems to be discussed that I don't get to hear or be a part of because Im in a different circle discussing the topic/business idea/story of the moment. Wish we could expand it to having the entire group participating together. I also wish that we could define a group mission including objectives and discuss ways to achieve them. Yes, this is meant to be a way to meet fellow bitcoiners and it should always above all else be fun...but I don't want it to turn repetitive.

I'm having car problems. Is anyone going from San Francisco and willing to give me a ride from a BART to the meetup and back?
