Silicon Valley EcoTuesday- Green Chamber of Commerce- Why is it needed now?

Details
EcoTuesday is a unique, monthly, networking event for sustainable business leaders held concurrently in six cities across the country. This month we will feature Elena Christopoulos, Interim President, and member of the Board of Directors of the Green Chamber of Commerce.
Elena will discuss why it is so important to have a Green Chamber of Commerce in this troubled economy. She will cover how the Chamber is essential in building an honest, sustainable and vibrant economy, and why she is so passionate about bringing together green entrepreneurs from around the globe.
Elena is a Queen’s University educated scientist, communications and sustainability expert, political advisor and passionate environmentalist. She is a Certified Sustainability (CSR-P) Practitioner and “walks the talk.” Her depth of technical expertise is only surpassed by her ability to build relationships between people and motivate groups to achieve project goals.
She divides her time between the US, Canada and Europe working on diverse alternative energy, clean tech projects and political campaigns. In early 2000, she implemented the first urban turbine in North America located in downtown Toronto. She brought the first urban turbine to Southern California for the Los Angeles Community College District as an Energy Program Manager for a $6 billion bond program.
We look forward to seeing you at this fun and thought provoking event. http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/4/3/0/a/event_91937162.jpeg
