Hello OpenStack Opers!
Time has come for our next meetup this April 29th. This time we will be partnering with Oracle who will be sponsoring the location and providing the main speaker for the event. Given the huge success of our last meetup we will continue the format of an intro, main speaker, then break out in to smaller groups.
Our main topic for this meetup will be 'What's needed for OpenStack to "Win the Enterprise"'?
Many enterprise customers are well on their way towards adopting OpenStack for (at least) their test and DevOps infrastructure, and are increasingly interested in consolidation of existing enterprise applications and mission critical services into that same infrastructure and management paradigm. In this talk, we share share observations and discuss the trends that we are seeing with respect to adoption of OpenStack by Enterprise customers, examine the various technical investments that we and the broader community are making, and talk about how OpenStack can and should evolve, so that it may cater to the diverse and more demanding needs of the enterprise and enterprise workloads.
Our main presenter will be Eric Saxe of Oracle:

Eric is a Director of Engineering in the Solaris Core Technologies group at Oracle, and has responsibility for Oracle's Solaris based OpenStack distribution. He and his team have been working with OpenStack since 2012, and prior to his current role worked as a lead Engineer in the Solaris Kernel Group. He has been with Sun Microsystems / Oracle since 1999.
I’ll be presenting and quick intro OpenStack and a quick review of what's new in OpenStack Kilo.
The location will be different for this event. Oracle is putting us up at the Santa Clara Marriott located at 2700 Mission College Boulevard, Santa Clara. It’s a nice hotel and centrally located.
The doors will be opening at 7 PM and we will have food and drinks available.
The agenda will follow our normal format:
