This event is organized in collaboration with other groups, including:
Join us for an exclusive walk along some picturesque trails at Stanford Dish - great place for interesting conversations, exchanging new ideas and brainstorming - all while hiking and enjoying the outdoors.
It should take around 1.5 hours of light to moderate walking/hiking. At the end we can go to to a place nearby for some lunch (optional)
Map and Directions
We'll meet at the main gate. Somebody will be holding a meetup sign.
There is some parking along the nearby streets and companies' parking lots. Allow 10-15 min to find parking.
Please carpool if you can.
Anybody who can offer a carpool or is looking for one, please post a comment with your route and times.
Below are the topics/projects that we currently work on. Please add your own or expand on existing topics (in comments), so you'll know what and whom you need to talk to and what projects to work on:
Mobile web applications (Roman Zhovtulya)
Future Living Foundation - applying software development principles to dwelling environments and optimize/re-invent live-work processes along with live/work space/community for innovators (Mike Doty, Roman Zhovtulya)
10:30 am - Meet at the main gate
10:30 am - 10:45am - warm-up/stretching and meetup overview
10:45 am - 11:30am - walking along the 3.5 mi path
11:30 am - 11:45am - project summaries and follow-ups
11:45 am - 12:00pm - meetup organization points (Meetup Perks, volunteers, feedback, next meetup)
(optional) 12-1pm - lunch at a nearby restaurant
- What to bring to the meeting:
Comfortable shoes and clothing (we'll do some light exercises)
Something to record the conversations with (small video/sound recorder is recommended (most cell phones/mp3 players can do it) - you don't want to get distracted by having to write points/ideas down - and you definitely wouldn't want to miss anything interesting and important)
- What to do during the meeting:
mingle with all the other attendees - try to talk to every person for at least 5-10 min
- Leave the meeting with:
Answers, results, plan of action
Looking forward to meeting you all and having great walking/innovating time!
