She's Geeky Unconference

Here's an event a few of us are already planning on attending:

She's Geeky is an unconference for women working in geeky fields (STEM).

Why is it an "un"conference?
From the website: "The 'un' part of unconference is about this being almost like a conference – amazing people, amazing discussions, great presentations. The big difference is that instead of a pre-planned agenda. The agenda is created live the day of the event by all the geek women who attend."

Sounds like fun, right?

The event spans 3 days: Friday, Jan 27 - Sunday, Jan 29. You can sign up for one or more days.

You can get more info here. And register here.

RSVP if you're planning on attending. Maybe we can all plan to touch base briefly and say hi.

The un-conference approach is quite an interesting concept: it enabled a wide range of topics / interests to come up. The mtg was a great way to meet women in various technical areas that i would not have normally been exposed to. In addition to the range in technical backgrounds, there was also a wide range in the age of the participants led to rich discussions.

Agreed. I just checked and found an old schedule which might be helpful: Doors open at 8:15 each day.
Agenda Creation for the whole day is between 9am and 10am.
There are 5 ? one hour conference sessions & lunch during the day.
We close as a group between 5 and 5:30.
Dinner and evening activities will be on your own.

I believe all of the days start at 9AM. You're right, though, it isn't spelled out very well on the site!

Does anyone know what time the Saturday session starts? I can't find the information anywhere.
