Basic Composition: A workshop for beginning photographers

By request, we're doing a field trip to the Mall and going to have a hands on workshop for beginning photographers. Bring your camera and your questions and we'll stroll around the monuments and guide you through basic composition.

I'll show you where to stand to take pictures of your favorite landmarks using composition tools like The Rule of Thirds, Framing and more.

After a leisurely stroll, we'll stop for lunch and share our photos and what we've learned.

PhotoTour will be led by Vickie Lewis.

A full-time professional photographer since 1983, Vickie has shot over 150 portrait assignments for People magazine, including Presidents, Congressmen, Olympic athletes, celebrities and her favorite--every day heroes. Her photographs are represented by the National Geographic Image Collection.
