Welcome to the Silver Spring Writer's Group Tuesday Meeting!
The Tuesday meetings are a great opportunity to get to know the writers in our group. With a more casual format than the Saturday meetings, we typically meet from 7pm - 8:30 pm ET on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
The meeting is divided into two parts:
(1) Introductions/Discussion
(2) Targeted Writing Prompts
Introductions/Discussions is a time to introduce yourself, your work, and any issues you may be facing that you think your fellow writers can help with.
Targeted Writing Prompts are brief writing prompts focused on a particular area of writing (such as narrative structure, character, dialogue, etc). Each individual will have approximately 20 minutes to write and then we will share (if you want!) our work with our colleagues to get additional ideas about what's working.

I'm excited that we have so many RSVPs for tomorrow night's meeting! Just two quick notes:
1. Due to the size of our group, we will be moving this meeting to a new location, Qdoba, about half a block from Panera Bread:

This is the same Qdoba that we meet at for our Saturday meetings.
From Panera Bread, exit and cross Colesville Road so that you are on the same side of the street as Ray's. Then walk approximately 400 feet to arrive at Qdoba on your right. 2. Feel free to bring in 1-2 pages of your original work that deals with a specific character you're working on. We will be "character speed dating" (but there will be no "dates" at the end, so no worries).
