I found it really interesting - inspired a lot of ideas for me, great to hear what others are using SS for outside of a straight CMS. Thanks to all involved for it :)

Great meetup. Tim, Cam and Ingo all presented very well with interesting topics. Looking forward to the next one.

Good crowd and a number of thought-provoking and interesting speakers. Next time we may need a mic or two (may have been hard for people at the back to hear the speakers some of the time)

Thanks for having me speak SilverStripe :) Hope it wasn't too conceptual for the high developer demographic at the meetup and everyone learned something.

At least lolcats are universally recognised as appropriate content.

Lots of good discussions, I think it would have been good to have a mic, or a way to get people in closer to presenters so people could hear better.

Thanks Paul, Jon; it's good to get your feedback. This will give us good material to cover for future meetings. We'll be looking to run these throughout the year -- keep the topic suggestions coming, and if you'd like to be a speaker this year, we'd love your support.

i'd be interested in how silverstripe handles 'large' sites. one post on the silverstripe forum mentions you'll probably get problems in 'large' - as in over 5000 hits per day... but an page i read said that SS is moving more into this 'large' site arena. what are the best practices, what developments are going on to address any issues, recommended ways of hosting etc...

    Hi Joanna,
As Ingo and WillR will be there I imagine we'll have plenty of technical clout in the room :)

I'd be interested in hearing SilverStripe best-practice advice (general to specific) around things like theme / template structure, page / data type structure, how to create a better user experience for the end-users / content admins, common development problems and how to resolve them, clarification around the best ways to contribute to the core etc.

What would you be interested in learning about at this meetup? We're planning it now, and of course would like to make it as interesting as possible!
