This is a monthly musical gathering in N.K. for all families/caregivers (traditional and non-traditional) with infants to 5 year olds (older siblings welcome too). Music has a tremendous power, early in life, to support the developing child in all his/her growing capacities. It forges unique connections in the brain, integrating mind, body and emotions. It enhances a child's language, cognitive, emotional, social and physical development. Simply put, music learning supports all learning. I would like to create space/community where we will share songs, instrument play, dancing and movement activities in a relaxed, playful, non-performance oriented setting. There will also be time for conversation and building friendships. I will provide instruments, dancing scarves and upbeat music (IPOD).

I will also share a different lullaby each week toward the end of the class. I will always have my trusty guitar! I love leading families in musical fun. Together we will encourage our children's (and our own!) natural enthusiasm for music and rhythmic play and allow the magic to unfolld! Hope you will join us.
P.S. If you play an instrument (violin, flute, harmonica,etc) and would like to bring it to share, please do! You can bring it out during announcements and let us hear you play, before we sing goodbye.
