SG Futurists Hangout - Future AI scenarios

A regular and informal meetup to keep in touch with each other and share ideas of upcoming future technologies. These meetups will usually have a Q &A / discussion component with strong audience participation. Participants are welcome to come at a later time even if they cannot make it at the start time of the meetup

Due to the high level of interest in AI for the previous meetup, we will be discussing the possible scenarios where a human-level AGI comes into being. Specifically:

1. Human level AI editing source code -> Does it really know what its changing?

2. Inheritance of charateristics from substrate -> Would it be necessary to implement emotions or would it be there "by default"?

3. Will architectural/substrate changes result in "final" goal changes? eg installing 32 bit emulator on 64 bit computer

4. How will identity be affected?
