Book Club: Functional JavaScript

This week we are covering Chapter 4 of Functional JavaScript.

I will be preparing some chapter-related exercises (so please bring a computer with node installed). We will try balance doing some hands-on with discussion of the current chapter and exercise solutions.

Exercises from the previous week will be available here: https://github.com/timoxley/functional-javascript-workshop. Fresh exercises will be uploaded on the day of the meetup.

To make sure you are getting the most out of the meetup try work through exercises before the meetup! Please bring along any questions/suggestions to the meetup or feel free to post issues on the repositories' issue queue: https://github.com/timoxley/functional-javascript-workshop/issues.

Also, if you like the workshop please "star" the project on github to raise its profile and encourage others to participate.

    @Tim:
    Hi Tim, got an appointment, can't come today. Managed to finish chapt 4 though (my head was dizzy towards to the end). I've also managed to install the workshop. How do start it?

    Btw one feedback: When I clicked on the link for the workshop (https://github.com/timoxley/functional-javascript-workshop), it led to a Github 404 page. There seems to be an extra full stop at the end.

      no need to pull from master, you should just be able to do: "npm install -g functional-javascript-workshop@latest" to get the latest version.

      Ah finally figured it... Got to enter "functional-javascript" to start the workshop. The text in the usage section was greyed out. Not obvious at first.
