Nice discussion on exilir.... Erlang was much used for development for some really high profile sites (one i know was bought by yahoo).. that the founder thought of creating rapid and maintainable code.

it was a precursor to Ruby which much of the features shared.

That guy who build a shop and got his code as Yahoo Shop in the late 90s to early 2000s was using Lisp and some parts of Ben's work is related to this guy's legacy. (Clojure)

The last time i saw an NUS paper was by a guy doing Nutch crawler and at that time it was 2 years away from BigData being common.

Any professor would praise this guy one out for being really good at what he's doing to be honest.

I hope to be working with you Ben, one day. hopefully.

i always hit myself when i saw him putting scalability to his work and never get an impact of simplicity.

I have a weird question. But i know ruby guys are nice like Matz. Okay, i am a Singaporean living in the far north-east of malaysia but i do want to attend such meetings and see what's the presentations are up.

Do you guys have something like google hangout or something? or something just as simple as for presentations? (i do not know if google hangout can be too noisy for you guys)

But this would help me get to know the ruby guys from far since i am quite limited for now.

As a followup to my presentation in the last meetup, here is my curation of tweets from Agile Singapore:

    This was a pretty strong dev. conference (I didn't attend :-( )
