Singapore Quantified Self 12: Desk Jockeys & Dreams
Details
Question: what are you doing on Monday evening? Why, joining us at the Hub for QS12! Yeah, short notice for this one. But I got reasons!
We are back to Show & Tell for this meetup and I'm pretty excited.
For those of you that haven't attended a QS Show & Tell before, it's pretty simple. People bring their tracking projects and then try to answer these three questions:
• What did you do?
• How did you do it?
• What did you learn?
Easy-peasy. So easy, even you could do it. So you should totally think about that. But no pressure this time, because we have two great speakers for you on Monday...
Mobilizing for Desk-Jockeys: Better Health and Performance
Many of you will have met Oskar from Move Correctly, who amused and impressed with his Kinect-based posture tracking software in QS06 this time last year.
Well, he's back with his learnings on tracking his personal mobility. So if you're a creaky-necked keyboard warrior like myself, you'll get a lot from this session. Also, I think we can convince Oskar to deadlift a handful of people by their belts :)
Dream Syntax: 102 dreams from 2008-2013
I've given too much away in the session title I just made up for Singapore's own (only?) psychogeographer, Debbie Ding. No, I don't know what a psychogeographer is and, y'know, I don't expect to learn. But I know this - we are losing one of our finest QS geeks to the UK in a couple of weeks, so I twisted her arm into sharing a little about her tracking project before she goes.
You won't want to miss these two talks, so make some excuses, juggle some meetings and we'll see you Monday!
Cheers,
Ciaran
